Deoch Dance

Deoch: Irish for “drink/immerse/cover with liquid”. 

My short film Deoch Dance centres around Sheila who is weighed down from the effects of living with active addiction.  I have explored movement in this short to convey the narrative and the energy of the locations. Two of the locations I chose are associated with recovery.  I chose to make use of strong visuals images and I purposely left the narrative loose so that the viewer can form their own interpretation and identification with Sheila’s journey.
